Special Collections

Large Print Books
The library has a special collection of Large Print books. Large Print books are “easy on the eyes” for any reader and make reading possible for many people with vision problems.

Montana Collection
The Montana Collection features materials relating to Montana, or written by Montana authors. Many of the books in this collection are one-of-a-kind.

Children's Room
Our Children’s Room contains board books for toddlers, picture books for preschoolers and easy readers for children learning to read. We also have a juvenile collection of fiction and non-fiction titles appropriate for elementary and middle school students, including popular series.

Dedicated volunteers provide story times for preschoolers every Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the library’s Community Meeting Room. We also occasionally have volunteer-led programs for older children. Please refer to our Calendar of Events or contact the library for more details.

Young Adult Area
The library has a comfortable and casual area for teenagers to gather with books appropriate to older adolescents.

Special Genres
Special genre collections include romance, science fiction and graphic novels.

Spanish Language Outreach
In 2008, the library was a recipient of a Gates Foundation grant to purchase materials in Spanish, Spanish-English (bilingual) and about Hispanic culture. These items form the basis of our Spanish Language Outreach collection. Información de la biblioteca en español.
