The five members of the North Valley Public Library Board of Trustees are elected by the Stevensville and Lone Rock School Districts. Library board meetings are open to the public. The Board of Trustees welcome public input and patron feedback. Our public participation policy gives opportunities for the public to comment throughout the meeting.
Meetings are regularly held once a month on Wednesdays at 3 p.m. in the library. Although most meetings are the third Wednesday of the month, meetings can be moved and such changes are posted. The agenda is posted on the front window of the library and on the website. The library sends the agenda to the Town to post and sends a notice of meetings to the Bitterroot Star to add to the calendar of events.
If you are unable to attend the Board meetings but would like to give input to the Board you can email them. Their contact information can be found on the Montana.Gov site. Please click HERE. Please indicate if you want your comments read into the public record at the Board meeting. As per our Public Comment policy you can also submit comments to the Director of the Library at firstname.lastname@example.org. "Comments may be given orally or in writing. Written comments should be submitted to the library director at least 24 hours prior to the meeting."
