Library Board Meetings
The five members of the North Valley Public Library Board of Trustees are elected by the Stevensville and Lone Rock School Districts. Library board meetings are open to the public. The Board of Trustees welcome public input and patron feedback. Our public participation policy gives opportunities for the public to comment throughout the meeting.
Board Meetings are held on the THIRD WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH at 3 p.m., usually in the library. During the COVID-19 pandemic, meetings may take place online through Zoom. Public may participate online or by phone. To find out if the meeting is in-person or online or the login and/or call-in information for online meeting go to Board Agendas and Minutes page and click on an upcoming agenda. Agendas are posted the Friday before the meetings.
Once a year, there is a public hearing on the budget.
This year the budget public hearing was on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 3 pm. Notices appear in the newspaper and the budget will be available to the public to review after the August 19 Board meeting.
Occasionally, meetings may be moved or cancelled. Any changes are posted here. The agenda is posted on the front window of the library, the library website, and the Town of Stevensville bulletin board. The library also sends a notice of meetings to the Bitterroot Star to add to the calendar of events.
agendas & minutes are combined after approval
