Borrow a Netbook

The Library now has HP Mini Netbooks to check out for North Valley Public Library cardholders!

The Netbooks are refurbished donated laptops configured to use Google Chrome. They are great for browsing the internet, checking email, and updating your social media once you have a WiFi connection. Netbooks can only be used to connect to the Internet, so any files you need to edit will need to be found and edited online.

So how do you borrow one of these Netbooks? Just swing by the Library and use your North Valley Public Library card to check one out for 14 days and find some free WiFi! Just remember to bring it back on time, the overdue fee is $1.00 per day.

High Speed Internet

The North Valley Public Library is equipped with dedicated high speed internet with speeds up to 100mbps. the libraries internet is free to use for all library patrons. Please see our policies page for more information on internet usage here.

Library Workstations

North Valley Library has 9 public Windows workstations, 2 children-only computers with full access to the internet, library resources, and common desktop applications.

A library card or guess pass is required to logon. Workstations are provided on a first come first serve basis.

Self-Checkout Kiosk

For your privacy, a self-checkout, touchscreen Kiosk is located in front of the circulation desk.

Catalog Search Kiosks

There are two catalog search Kiosks located in front of the library near the circulation desk. We ask that you only use these machines to only searching the online catalog.

Wireless Access

Wireless Internet access is available throughout the library and community room. There is no direct access to the library printers unless using a library laptop. To provide the security of data encryption, a password is required to connect and can be obtained from the circulation desk. This password will intermittently be changed on occasion.

Printing & Scanning

High speed printing and scanning is available within the library. Scanning is free to all patrons, but there is a small fee for printing. please see the circulation desk for more information.

Printing options:

  • You can print 500 on our high speed copier

  • Print single or double sided (Ask for pricing)

  • Paper sizes are standard stock, 8.5x11, 8.5x14 and 11x17 paper.

  • We can only provide black and white printing at this time.

Scanning options:

  • To a USB (flash drive) or directly from the copy machine

  • To a workstation via the ADA machine on the end cube.

  • To email via workstation or directly from copy machine


There is no longer a faxing service at the North Valley Public Library. There are several businesses within the town of Stevensville that can assist with this, or you can opt to fax via the internet faxing service (scan to fax).
